Fact Sheet: Online Marketing for Agritourism Businesses: Instagram (OSU Extension)- Having an Instagram account for your agritourism operation can help reach a broader audience and tap into a huge potential customer base. Over 1 billion people use Instagram every month, reaching 140 million U.S. users as of January 2021. This fact sheet provides tips and tricks for leveraging Instagram and creating great content.

Workforce Development

Opportunity: Become a Rogue Farm Corps’ Host Farm!– For farmers and ranchers interested in mentoring aspiring farmers at your farm or ranch. Yearly application cycle. Rogue Farm Corps’ Apprenticeship program is designed to help train and equip the next generation of farmers and ranchers through a structured framework that includes on-farm training, classes, farm tours, discussion groups, and networking. Host farmers serve as primary mentors and supervisors for apprentices at their farm/ranch

TOOLKITS

  • Tasting Room Listings– The tasting room itinerary database (Explore) is a digital directory of 500 tasting rooms around the state designed to assist active and prospective visitors. The toolkit explains how to create, claim and customize your tasting room listing.
  •  Oregon Wine Month– Since 2012, the Oregon wine industry has celebrated Oregon Wine Month annually in May. This toolkit is intended for anyone looking for guidance, tools and programming on Oregon Wine Month.
  • Pair it Forward– This social media campaign highlights winemakers and wine-adjacent people such as chefs and artisan food producers across the state talking about their favorite wine and food pairings made by their peers in short, engaging videos. The toolkit includes tips and tricks on how to film a successful video, include subtitles, advice on the best time to post, a suggested caption, and hashtags to add to your post.
  • Oregon Wine Flies Free– Designed to help participating wineries find tips and resources to promote the program and drive tasting room sales. Toolkit includes digital graphics for your social media channels in addition to plug-in ready program-related copy for your consumer marketing efforts.

MEDIA LIBRARY:

An extensive library of photos available for media purposes, from winemaking regions in each corner of the state. Wine industry members can also upload their photos.
